Diamond Way Meditations

Dear Users of our Diamond Way Websites,

There has been a recent increase in mail from people who meditate without having either the view from our books or the necessary connection to one of the 415 Diamond Way Centres world wide today. As transmission is everything in our work, questions arising should be answered and our experienced groups protect beginners from erring on the way. For this reason, we have recently removed the meditations from the Internet. They are not toys and being computer illiterate, I had no idea the effect would be as it has been. All the best, and you are welcome in our centres: they are well distributed across the free countries of the world.

Your Lama Ole

16th Karmapa Meditation

Guru Yoga Meditation on the 16th Karmapa

"This version of the 16th Karmapa Meditation is from the winter of 2001. In the late Sixties, the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, made Hannah and me holders of this practical and comprehensive tool for enlightenment. Honoring his wish over the years that we always keep it fresh and on the cutting edge of western minds, the focus of the meditation has shifted several times. Here the emphasis is on actively continuing the pure view, obtained in meditation, into our daily lives.

After having taken refuge in the morning, you may informally and at any time during the day, let the Lama appear in front of you and receive this blessing. I know of no more effective meditation. Therefore, practice and enjoy."

Amitabha Meditation

Meditation on the Buddha of Limitless Light

"Nothing is more important than mastering one's death, and meditations on the red Buddha of Limitless Light (Opagme, Amitabha) permit one to transform this process into self-liberating joy. They are thus an incomprehensible gift. Especially before meditation-courses on Phowa or Conscious Dying, one should focus on practices invoking his energy-field."

Light and Breath Meditation

Meditations on Light and Breath

"These practices are given for those who are interested in meditation while still examining what Diamond Way Buddhism is and if it can be useful to their lives. In a light vein it combines aspects of all the ways taught by the Buddha and is a real gift for the mind."
